WEBB, MR. THOMAS - Mr. Thomas Webb, residing near Casstown, in this County, was killed, on Tuesday, in this manner: He was loading a saw-log on his wagon--in a way that is very common--by rolling it up with a log chain and horses. He was behind the log, and just as it got up to the bolster, where it pulled hardest, he spoke sharply to his horses, which caused them to go forward with a sudden jerk, which broke the chain, and let the log roll back. Mr. W., in attempting to get out of the way, fell with his head toward the log, which struck him about the neck and shoulders, completely dislocating the former--causing death in about fifteen minutes.
