Michael  Bosserman   


Michael was born during 1769 on the Bosserman homested in Reading Township of York County Pennsylvania,  a son of Johann Michael and Christina (Dierdorff) Bassermann.   So far as can now be determined he remained at home with his parents and helped with the farm until his marriage about 1792.  Not long after marriage he took up farming in Liberty Township of what is now Adams County

Michael married Mary Pfautz,  a daughter of Johann Michael and Barbara (Crumpacker) Pfautz.   She was born during December 1766 in Frederick County Maryland.

Michael died on 15 November 1811 leaving seven children and a widow who was a month pregnant.   The last of Michael's children,  Mary Bosserman, was born on 17 July 1812.

Michael and his wife Mary are buried side by side in the Pinebank Cemetery, Mount Joy Township, Adams County Pennsylvania.  They were members of the church group known as Tunkers/Dunkers.
