Christina was born on 14 April 1768 on the Bosserman homeplace,
in Reading Township,
York County Pennsylvania. She was a daughter of Johann
Michael and Christina (Dierdorff) Bassermann. When she was around
24 years old (about 1792) she married Jacob Diehl, a
son of Frederick and Mary (Harley) Diehl. Jacob was born
on 12 Sept 1768 in Butlar
Township, York County (now Adams Co) Pa.
Jacob and Christina farmed along Rockcreek in Mount Joy Township, Adams
County Pa.
They were members of the Dunker/Tunker church. Tax records
show that Jacob was a
man of considerate worth. Jacob died on 21 March 1841
in Mountjoy Township and was
buried in the Pinebank Cemetery. His wife Christina Bosserman Diehl
died on 30 May 1849
and was buried beside Jacob.
