McCLUNG, MRS. AMANDA - Died, the morning of February 4th, 1868, Mrs. Amanda F., wife of B. F. McClung, in the 52d year of her age.  Mrs. McClung was well known to our citizens, having lived in Troy and vicinity during the past thirty five years, and was highly esteemed for her uniform kindness and excellency of character.  No suffering heart or tried spirit ever sought her sympathy in vain.  For many years she walked with the Lord's people guided by that divine faith and that holy and inspiring love which enrich the seed and make the life beautiful.--Her last illness was brief and painful, continuing from Saturday till Tuesday morning following.  Her suffering was sustained with patient resignation.  She met the summons of the infinite Father with calm trust and firm faith.  No doubts, or fears disturbed her mind.  To her there was precious rest in Christ.  A large congregation attended her funeral services, thereby bearing witness to the excellency of her life.
