Samuel Detrick stricken Sunday

Samuel Robert Detrick, 71,  resident of Piqua for the past  year, died at his home 1229 Forest Avenue at 2 a.m. Sunday following an illness of one hour. The son of Benjamin and Hannah Harrison Detrick.  He was born October 2, 1875 and had resided in the vicinity of Piqua for 40 years.  He was an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad and a member of the Brethren Church. Survivors are two brothers, Elmer, of Bradford and Raymond of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs John (Ethel) Hardesty and Mrs Harry Trowbridge (Zana), both of Piqua.  A brother proceeded him in death. The Rev. G. E. Weaver of Bradford will officiate when rites are conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the Madison Home for funerals, Broadway at High street, with burial to be in Highland Cemetery, Covington.  Friends may call a Madison's tonight and Tuesday.
