Mrs. Jessie M. Swob, 97, died Sunday at 5 am. in Piqua Memorial Hospital.  She had been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Leroy Penrod, 1016 Virginia.
She had previously resided at the Warren Nursing Home. Born July 30, 1874, in Miami County, she was the daughter of the late Rhueben and Eliza Zimmerman Ballinger.
She was married Oct. 17, 1894, to Robert Briggs who died in 1908. She was then married to David Swob in 1914. He died in 1948.  Surviving her are three children, Mrs. Penrod (Agnes), Piqua; Mrs. Iva Richards (Sidney), Mrs. Leonard Moyer (Loa), Houston; and a step-son, Clifford Swob, Houston. She had 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Five brothers and one sister preceded her in death. The Rev. Wesley Schaeffer will conduct funeral services Wednesday at 2 pm. in the Cromes and Sons Funeral Home, Sidney. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Hardin. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Tuesday and Wednesday until the hour of services.
