A Miami County Newspaper
December 3, 1929

In Fairfield County, Ohio, on August 17, 1849, Fannie Furry was born. She was one of a family of ten children who came to bless the union of Frank and Mary Furry, and was the last survivor of the family. On Wednesday morning, following an illness of three weeks, she passed away at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 10 days.  On November 3, 1871, she was united in marriage to Charles C. Morris. Eight children were given to this union, four children and the father have preceded her in death. Three daughters, Mrs. Mary Miller of Oxford, Mich., Mrs. Bessie Westoven of Kansas City, and Mrs. D. O. Boers, of Covington, and one son Harry Morris of Norwood survive. There are also 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  For many years the family lived at Elida (?), Ohio, and later at St. Marys. Four years ago the father and mother came to make their home with Clara and a year later the father passed away while they were living in Pleasant Hill. Everything that loving hands and hearts could do to make the parents happy in their latter years was done and the blessed memory of those years will remain like a benediction upon this home.  Many years ago, Mrs. Morris united with the M. E. Church at St. Marys, Ohio, and has remained loyal to her faith in Christ, a constant reader of the Holy Bible which found a large expression in her life.  The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the many tokens of sympathy, words of comfort and acts of kindness shown during the sickness and death of their beloved mother.
