LAURA F. GAINES

Laura F. Gaines was born near St. Paris, Ohio, March 10, 1862, died at Covington, Ohio, Sept. 30th, 1929, aged 67 years, 6 months, and 20 days. 

The departed was a daughter of the late Dr. Charles E. Gaines. 

In 1880 she was united in marriage to the late Dr. Charles Gaines. To their union was born four children, Dr. Waldo Gaines, Pemberton, Ohio, Mrs. J. H. Crosier, London, England, Mrs. E. C. Diltz, Covington, Ohio and Theodoria ( a twin sister of Mrs. Diltz) who died in infancy. There is also left to mourn her loss one brother, Mr. Link Stevens, Springfield, Ohio, and one sister, Mrs. J. C. Endsly, Dayton, Ohio; seven granddaughters and a large circle of friends.

The deceased was a member of the Covington Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

For many years she was a loyal member and supported the Covington Presbyterian Church. After the death of her husband she moved to Dayton and transferred her membership to the Memorial Presbyterian Church where she continued a member up to the time of her death.
