WOMAN MEETS INSTANT DEATH IN AUTO CRASH
Mrs. Lawrence Elgen, of Near West Milton Killed at Union When Auto Hits Milk Truck
Mrs. Lawrence Elgen met instant death and her husband and son were injured when their auto crashed into a milk truck at Union at 5:45 a. m. this
morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Elgen and their son, Melvin were riding in an Overland Coach which was following a D. C. & P. bus and when they undertook to pass
the bus ran head-on into a milk truck.
Melvin who was driving received an injured arm and was taken to a Dayton hospital and the father was injured, but not seriously.
The family resided on a farm at Pigeye, two miles South of West Milton.
Mrs. Elgen is a cousin to Mr. Bert Schilling, proprietor of the Home Restaurant in Covington. Five children survive.
The body of Mrs. Elgen was taken to the Hale undertaking parlors at West Milton. Funeral services have not yet been announced.
