Jacob Henry Waymire

Jacob Henry Waymire, the son of Daniel and Marila Waymire, was born in Darke County, June 8, 1854 and passed away May 27, 1938, at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 19 days. On May 7th, 1874, he was married to Lida Jane Curea and for 61 years they enjoyed life together until Sister Waymire passed away on May 31, 1935.

To this union there were born six children, three boys and three girls, two of the boys died in infancy and at the age of 34 years Sarah Marlia Moore passed to her reward leaving two daughters Mrs. Clara Belle Jones of Annaconda, Montana and Mrs. Della Mae Thompson of Pleasant Hill and one son Charles Waymire of Columbus to mourn the passing of their father.

Those surviving also are 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

Brother Waymire spent 57 years of his life in Pleasant Hill, 52 of those in one home. He was a member of the First Brethren Church having joined her membership some 50 years ago. Faithful was he to her service as long as His health permitted. Thus another of the members pass on to the reward that shall be his.
