Shafer
Funeral To Be Tomorrow
Funeral
services for Mrs. Dorothy Shafer will be held Friday afternoon with brief
services at the house at 1:30 o'clock followed by services at 2:00 o'clock at
Glen Haven Chapel on State Route 40, two miles southeast of New Carlisle.
Mrs.
Shafer passed away at 11:30 o'clock yesterday after an illness of two years.
She was a splendid example of fine Christian womanhood and her sweet
disposition won for her a large circle of loyal friends, who mourn the loss by
her passing at the youthful age of about twenty years.
She
will be sadly missed in the home by her father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Shafer, in whose home she has been tenderly cared for during the
illness which she patiently suffered. She
was a devout member of the Church of God in Piqua.
Besides
her devoted husband, Don Shafer, she is survived by her mother, step-father, one
brother and one sister and her father and mother-in-law.
The
Shafer family were former residents of this vicinity and have many friends here
who extend sympathy in the loss of this beloved member of their family.
