Mrs. Emma Ditmer

Emma Penny Ditmer, daughter of Thomas and Margaret Penny, was born on July 28, 1868 in Darke County.

She was married to John Ditmer March 17, 1886. Spent all of her married life in Darke and Miami Counties of Ohio. John Ditmer preceded her in death in August of 1936. In March of that same year they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. 

She was the last survivor of her brothers and sisters. The mother of two children, Hazel and Olen. Hazel passed away May 19, 1923. 

She is survived by her son, Olen Ditmer, four grandchildren Herschel and Juanita Ditmer, Robert and Doris Hunley, children of Hazel Ditmer Henley, all of Troy.
