Fletcher, Dec. 21 - Bedfast for the past six weeks, John Callan Tullis, 69 died at 11:25 this morning at his home in Fletcher. He was born Sept. 2, 1874, in Mercer county, the son of Aaron and Rebecca Chevington Tullis, and was married to Bessie Lane Duncan, July 23, 1907, who survives him along with two sons, Edward and William Tullis of Fletcher. He had lived in Fletcher for 37 years, and was formerly telegraph operator on the Pennsylvania railroad, more recently serving as secretary of the Sanito Chemical Co, in the community. He was a Past Master of the Social lodge, F. & A. M. Additional survivors are one stepson, Robert Duncan of Vandalia, a sister, Mrs. E. E. Rison of Lima, and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday at the Suber Funeral home, with burial in the cemetery at Fletcher. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 pm Wednesday until time of funeral.
