Mrs. John H. Smith, 67 of Tippecanoe City, died at her home on the corner of Broadway and South Third street, early Tuesday morning, after an illness that extended over a period of years. She was a member of the Methodist church of Tippecanoe City and had long been a resident of that town, being well known there. She is survived by the husband, three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Schrader, of Dayton; Mrs. Mary Bergen, of New Carlisle; Mrs. Mary Bergen, of New York City; two sons, Earl Smith, of Dayton and Esta Smith, residing on a farm east of Tippecanoe City; one brother and five sisters. They are Albert Johnson, residing north of Tippecanoe City; Laura Miranda, Columbus; Rose R. Weyright, Bloomington, Ind; Anna Sayers, Delight, ND; Emma Wender, Dayton, and Sally Zinks, of Tippecanoe City. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon from the Tippecanoe City Methodist church with Rev. D. G. Hall, pastor of the church, O. P. Furnas, of West Milton, and Elisha Kneisley, former pastor of the Methodist church, of Cincinnati, officiating. Interment will be made in Maple Hill cemetery at that place.
