For several years he was janitor of the Spring Street School building and five years ago resigned on account of his age. He is survived by his widow, four sons and two daughters and a number of grandchildren and great - grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at noon today at the late residence and the remains were taken to Fletcher where Rev. Joel Strait of the Presbyterian Church of that village preached a sermon at 1 pm.
