Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Byrkett, was born at Smallenberg, Germany, on May 14, 1849, departed this life Dec. 3, 1932 at the age of 83 years, six months and nineteen days. Part of her life was spent in Germany until at the age of 23 years. She came to this country in 1872 and made her home with an uncle, first at Montra, Shelby Co. Ohio, then later went to Troy. All the rest of her life was spent in Covington. In 1873 she was united in marriage with Geo. Hentrich and to this union was born nine children her husband and five children preceding her in death. About nine years ago she was taken very ill with pneumonia and has been in failing health since, but was very patient during her illness until death. Those who mourn her loss are three sons, Henry of Piqua, and John and Christ and one daughter Katie, all of Covington, one nephew, George F. Byrkett of Indianapolis, twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. W. E. Routzahn in charge.
