Emma Malinda Neisley was born September 30, 1869, at Nashville, Union Township, Miami County, Ohio and passed away Saturday July 17th, 1932, at the age of 62 years, 9 months, and 17 days. She was one of a family of ten children born to bless the union of Christian and Christina Neisley, seven of whom together with the parents have preceded her in death. Two brothers, Henry Neisley of Pleasant Hill and John Neisley of Bradford, and one sister Mrs. Susie Mathews survive her. She made her home since the death of her parents with her brother Henry. Here her good nature and willingness endeared her to the family. She was a good neighbor, kindly hearted and helpful, and will be sadly missed both by the family circle and a large number of friends. More than thirty years ago, on January 16th, 1897, under the pastorate of Brother F. L.. Austin, she united with the Brush Creek church of God, and to her vow she has remained faithful throughout the years. While in this community she worshipped at the Little White Church and was a member of the Dorcas Class of the Sunday School. For many years she was a constant Bible student. Regardless of the duties, she always read a portion of the scriptures during the day and the Bible and her church paper were her favorite literature.
On Saturday she seemed in her usual health, but was suddenly stricken and within a few minutes her earthly pilgrimage was closed.

Thou go not like the quarry slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him and lies down to pleasant dreams.
The family desires to thank the neighbors and friends for the assistance and sympathy extended during the bereavement and also the singers, ministers and thos.....(clipping ends)
