Nancy Ann Mohler, oldest child of Henry and Hannah Mohler was born at what is now the Perry Filbrun residence on July 22, 1856 and died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Frank Ebberts of Covington. February 19, 1932. Aged 75 years, 6 months, and 27 days. She grew to womanhood at the place where she was born. On October 21, 1878. She was united in marriage to Joseph Cassel of Covington. To this union six children were born, three of whom still survive. Her husband passed away May 28, 1921 at 72 years of age. In August 1923 she married Jacob Shellabarger of Dayton, Ohio, who still survives. At the tender age of 15 she united with the German Baptist Brethren Church, and through the 60 years of her Christian life she has been most faithful. She loved her Savior and believed the promises of the Bible. On Feb. 6, 1932 she called for the anointing service which gave her added spiritual strength to endure her suffering patiently to the last. She silently and peacefully went to meet her loved ones and the Savior who she loved. Beside her husband she leaves to mourn her departure three daughters; Mrs. Mamie Ebberts; Mrs. Martha Drake, both of Covington; Mrs. Lottie Miller of Bradford; six step children; 15 grand children and many other relatives and friends. She will be laid to rest in the Mohler section of the Sugar Grove Cemetery. Pinned in.......(clipping cut off)....
