Dr. Ralph Ratcliff Kelsey, 45, Cypress St. Greenville, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Kelsey of Walnut Street, Covington, passed away at his home early Friday evening of heart trouble. His sudden demise came as a shock to his many relatives and friends as he was apparently in his usual health, having worked in his office all day Friday. Mr. Kelsey was born in Covington, was a graduate of Covington High School, and received his degree in dentistry from the dental school of the University of Cincinnati. He has practiced in Greenville for twenty years. He was an active member on the First Christian Church of Greenville and was a member of its choir for many years; he was deeply interested in music and was widely known among musicians of Greenville. He was a Past Master of the Greenville Masonic Lodge, a member of the Knights Templars of Troy and a member of the Antioch Shrine at Dayton. Surviving besides his widow are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Kelsey of Covington, and three brothers, Bert of Piqua, George of Springfield, and Ellis of Covington. Funeral services were held at his late Greenville home last afternoon at 2:30 with his friend and former pastor, Rev. J.E. Etter of Fort Recovery officiating. Interment was made in Greenville Cemetery.

Dr. Ralph Ratcliff Kelsey was born in Covington, Ohio, on August 7th, 1886, and was the son of James W. and Marietta Ratcliff Kelsey. He attended school and graduated from the Covington school, and received his degree in Dentistry from the Dental School of the University of Cincinnati in 1909. Opening an office in Greenville shortly after his graduation, he has continued his practice there since that time. He was a Past Master of the Greenville Lodge of Masons No. 143, a member of the Chapter and Council of that lodge, a member of the Knight Templars at Troy, and a member of the Antioch Shrine at Dayton. He was also a member of the First Christian Church in Greenville, and was a member of its choir for many years. On March 14th, 1914 Dr. Kelsey was united in marriage to Miss Opal Rahn of Greenville. There is left to mourn the untimely death of Dr. Kelsey; his beloved wife, his parents and three brothers, and a host of sincere friends. His brothers are Bert Kelsey of Piqua, Ellis of Covington, and George of Springfield.
