Mr. John A. Ullery, 80, passed away at his home on East Broadway at six o'clock this morning, after an illness of several years resulting from sunstroke suffered 12 years ago, since which time his health has been gradually failing. Mr. Ullery was active in many enterprises of the village, serving as the first secretary of the Covington Building & Loan Assn., cashier of the Citizens National Bank, chorister for the Christian Church for 30 years, and served as member of the Board of Education. In addition to these and other activities he served as U.S. Marshall for a number of years. He is survived by his widow, one son Joseph Ullery of Chicago, and two daughters, Miss Helen at home and Mrs. Florence Wright of Dayton. Two sisters also survive, Mrs. C. M. Himes and Mrs. J. M. Cox, both of Covington. Funeral arrangements have not been completed at this time.
