William Edward Boggs, son of Rev. William and Margaret Boggs, was born Feb. 2, 1869 and departed this life April 21, 1935, aged 66 yrs., 2 mo. and 19 days. On Nov. 24, 1887 he was united in marriage to Anna Dorothy Hucker. To this union were born six sons and three daughters. Mr. Boggs spent his entire life in and about Covington, following the trade of mason and a cement worker. Early in life, about the age of 12, he became a Christian and united with the Church of the Brethren. He held his church relation in high regard, was always active in the work of the church and was a charter member of Class 15. Three children preceded the father in death; daughter Lova dying in infancy, Millard, a son dying April 18, 1920, and Mrs. Lillie Etter dying May 1928. Surviving to mourn his departure are his wife and children; Waldo, and Mrs. Ruth Weer of Covington, Lester and Lewis of Piqua, William of Sidney and Leonidas at home, ten grandchildren and two brothers, Rolland of Bradford and Ora of Pitsburg.
