Jennie D. Smith Brinkman, eldest daughter of the late Valentine and Rebecca Smith was born near Covington, Ohio, on February 11, 1876, she died at her home in Covington in the early hours of Tuesday morning, March 26, 1935. Her age was 68 years, one month, and 13 days. On Oct. 17, 1886 she was united in marriage with Henry Brinkman who lived to mourn the passing of his companion. To the marriage union six children were born; one daughter died in infancy and another daughter Mrs. Emma Brandon died some 18 years ago. The following children survive; Mrs. G. B. Deeter of Covington; Mrs. T. A. Billingsley of Greenville; Harry and James Brinkman of Greenville. There are ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She leaves one brother, Forest Smith of near Covington. A wide circle of other relatives and friends mourn her departure from this earth. The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and of the Pocahontas Lodge.
Her entire life was spent in this immediate community. She had been in failing health for the past several years, and her death was due to a complication of....................... .............newspaper clipping ends........
