Heart Attack Takes Farmer Early Today

Well Known Farmer Expires At Five O'clock This Morning
A heart attack proved fatal to W. E. Branson this morning at five o'clock at his home near Greenville Creek. Mr. Branson had not been ill and his unexpected death came as a severe shock to the members of his family and friends. He was 42 years of age. The deceased was a life long resident of the community and was widely known. Mr. Branson was graduated from Covington High School with the class of 1911 and attended Ohio State University at Columbus. He was a World War Veteran, leaving the university to enter the service and served as an airplane mechanic. He was a member of the American Legion and was affiliated with the Greenville Creek Church, where he took an active part in church affairs. Surviving beside the bereaved widow, Mrs. Pearl Branson, is one son Emerson; his mother Mrs. Cora Wilson of Versailles; two sisters Mrs. Harold Gibboney of Columbus and Mrs. Allen Gibboney of near Bradford. His father Willis passed away 8 years ago. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at the residence at 1:30 and at the Greenville Creek Church at 2:00 o'clock. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery under the direction of Charles Miller of Gettysburg.
