Pleasant Hill Man Fatally Injured In Charleston, Va.
Pleasant Hill Man Meets With Fatal Accident. Rites to Be Held Wednesday. Arnold Barton of Pleasant Hill sustained fatal injuries Saturday afternoon about 4 o'clock when he fell from a power plant where he was working for a steel construction company at Charleston, West Virginia. He died an hour later. Mr. Barton a resident of Pleasant Hill for the past 3 years coming here from Dayton has a wide acquaintance of friends here who are sadly grieved over the news of his tragic death. Mrs. Barton and three children with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Caron left Saturday night for West Virginia. The body of the deceased will arrive in Dayton Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock and will be removed to the Geeting Funeral Home and will lie in state until Wednesday morning. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Congregational Christian Church with Rev. W. G. Kershner officiating. Besides the bereaved widow, Mrs. Margaret Barton the deceased is survived by three children, (illegible) 9, Eva Lou 7, and Jackie 3, his parents and four sisters of Charleston, West Virginia and a brother John residing in Dayton. Interment will be made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
