Russell Pearson
Seemingly, just at the noontide of life the Angel of Death came and called for the Spirit of Russell Pearson to depart this earthly life and enter its eternal home. Russell was one of a family of six children, four boys and two girls, born to Aaron and Delana Pearson, on their homestead near Laura on Aug. 21, 1892 and in sight of which he spent his entire life. On April 6, 1912 he was united in marriage to Isa Class and to this union was born two children Harold R. age 18 and Wanda J. age 12. During his intense suffering, which he bore so patiently and without a murmur he turned to the Savior for comfort, and was taken into the Tabernacle Church at Covington by Rev. Hugh Marlin. Russell departed this life early in the morning of July 10, 1935 and at the age of 42 years, 10 months and 19 days, leaving to mourn a devoted wife, and loving son and daughter and aged mother, two sisters, three brothers and a mother-in-law who tenderly helped care for him during his sickness. Just why husband and father should be taken so young in life we cannot understand, but knowing that all things work together for good to those who love the Lord we humbly bow in submission to His will with the assurance that some day all things will be made plain and we shall know as we are known.
