Adaline Lucinda Ramsey (nee Snell)

Adaline Lucinda Snell was born in Miami County, Ohio, February 23, 1843, and departed this life January 13, 1934, at Gettysburg, Ohio, having nearly reached the age of ninety-one. On May 3, 1864, she was united in marriage with Thomas A. Ramsey to which union was born a daughter, Allie G. Ramsey, who survives her. Of a family of six children, one sister, Mrs. Marion Reed, of Worthington, Ohio is left. Two nephews, Ernest F. Snell, of Zanesville, and Z .L. Snell of Delaware, lived from infancy to young manhood in her home, and gave to and received from their aunt the affection of a mother. In her girlhood, she became a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, but later in life transferred her membership to the Methodist Episcopal Church, in which denomination she was a faithful member throughout her life.
