Mrs. Elvira Smith
Mrs. Elvira P. Smith, 82, died at 1 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at her home, 419 Lincoln avenue, after a short illness due to infirmities of age. Mrs. Smith, widow of Marion Smith, had lived in Troy for the last 30 years. She was a native of the McKendree Chapel vicinity and was a member of the First Methodist church of this city. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Ira Richardson of Casstown, a son, Lee Webb, Wichita, Kans., and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from the Irvin funeral home and burial was made in Casstown cemetery with Rev. Lester Schlechty officiating. Pallbearers were Clifford Fuller, Russell Widener, Bradford VanHorn, Walter Smith, Frank Smith, and William Stryker.
