David Doty
Dies Monday Afternoon
Funeral services for Mr. David Doty who passed away Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock following an extended illness will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Walter Hittle in West Covington. H. C. Marlin will officiate. The deceased had been ill for the past 14 works suffering from complications. During that time he submitted to an operation at the Covington hospital which failed to bring relief. Mr. Doty, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Doty was born at Greenville Falls, June 25, 1894 and has been a lifelong resident of this community. An efficient automobile mechanic, Mr. Doty was employed at the Gillis Auto Parts at Eldean. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Surviving besides the widow, Tillie Conover Doty, are two sisters, Mrs. Walter Hittle of Covington and Mrs. Emerson Loxley of Union, two nephews and two nieces. Interment will be made in Sugar Grove Cemetery under the direction of Mrs. Conley, funeral director of Piqua.
