Ida Glenna Zerbe Brandt
Ida Glenna Zerbe, one of a family of eight children, six daughters and two sons, who were born to Abraham and Catherine Zerbe, was born near Bradford, Ohio, on August 8th, 1879, and passed away at her home in Dayton, Ohio on November 13th, 1934 at the age of fifty-five years, three months and five days. On December 30th, 1897, she was united in marriage to Oren Brandt, and to this union three children were given, one son and two daughters. The son preceded his mother in death as an infant. Besides the husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Howard Weaver, of Dayton, and Ruby who resided at home. Also two grandsons, Jean and Kent Weaver, and two brothers, Charles and Earl Zerbe; and five sisters, Mrs. N. D. Miller, Mrs. Clara Sipple, Mrs. Willis Bosserman, Mrs. Henry Grove and Mrs. Charles Stemm. In June 1909, she accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized into the First Brethren Mission at Bradford, her letter being later transferred to the Pleasant Hill congregation. For the past year she has been suffering with an incurable disease, but bore her affliction courageously and patiently until the Lord called her home.
