Fall Is Fatal To Aged Lady;
Mrs. Samuel Strong
Dies Monday Night
Mrs. Samuel Strong Dies at 8:45 Last Evening. Funeral Rites Thursday Afternoon. Mrs. Samuel Strong, 72 years of age, passed away Monday evening at 8:45 o'clock, at her home on the Dayton Pike, following an illness of two weeks duration. Two weeks ago Mrs. Strong fell to the kitchen floor while preparing the noon day meal, injuring her hip and left limb. For a time it was thought that she would recover but other complications set in which caused her death. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. H. C. Marlin, and five grandchildren Glenn, Ray and Jean Schellhouse and Mrs. Luther Robbins and Maribell Marlin. Mrs. Strong has lived her entire life with the exception of a short time in Indiana, in Newton Township, and was born on the same farm where the home is now located. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at the home and 2:30 o'clock at the Brethren Church in Pleasant Hill, conducted by Rev. George S. Baer, of Ashland, Ohio, editor of the Brethren Evangelist and intimate friend of the family. Interment will be made in Highland Cemetery under direction of Geo. W. Miller. On account of the funeral services the News office will remain closed Thursday, and Wednesday evening's paper will be dated for Wednesday and Thursday.
