Former Bradford Man Dies Saturday
Arthur O. Smith passed away at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock following an extended illness of several months duration. Although Mr. Smith had been suffering from a long illness his condition was thought to be improving and the news of his death came unexpectedly. He was 27 years of age. The deceased was born and reared in Bradford and just recently established a home in Dayton. Surviving besides the widow, Mrs. Laura Smith are two children, Nancy Carrol and James Arthur of Dayton and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Smith of Bradford. Two sisters, Mrs. Sanford Foutz of Brandt and Mrs. H. L. Houser of Bellefontaine and 2 brothers Rondo Smith of Columbus and Roscoe Smith of Indianola, Illinois, and a number of other relatives and a wide acquaintance of friends also survive. Funeral services have been arranged for Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be conducted at the Bradford M.E. Church with Rev. W. H. Fields officiating. Interment will be made in the Harris Creek Cemetery
