Lucinda Stoddard Dies This Morning
Mrs. Lucinda Stoddard, well known Covington resident passed away at her home on S. Pearl St., this morning at 9 o'clock following an extended illness of several months duration due to paralysis. Although Mrs. Stoddard had been in failing health, her condition did not become serious until last Friday when she suffered a third stroke. She was 66 years of age. Mrs. Stoddard has resided in Covington since 1911 and has a wide acquaintance of friends throughout this vicinity. She was affiliated with the Church of the Brethren in Covington. Surviving besides the bereaved husband Mr. George Stoddard are two daughters, Mrs. Laura Holsinger and Mrs. Elizabeth Holsinger, both residing in Covington. Funeral services have been arranged for Friday and will be conducted at the residence at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Highland Cemetery under the direction of Walter E. Routzahn.

Mrs. Lucinda Stouder
Mrs. Lucinda Whiting Stouder, daughter of Fredrick and Laura Whiting was born April 1, 1868 near New Lebanon, Ohio and departed this life January 9, 1935 at Covington, Ohio having reached the age of 66 years 9 months and 8 days. Sister Stouder was united in marriage to George Stouder December 31, 1891 and to this happy union were born two daughters, Mrs. Laura Holsinger and Mrs. Elizabeth Holsinger both of Covington, Ohio. The first nineteen years of their married life were lived near New Lebanon and Eaton, Ohio, after which they came to Covington, Ohio where she lived the remainder of her life. At the age of sixteen she accepted her Savior and has ever remained faithful until the end. She was a faithful wife, a kind mother and always helping her children and doing deeds of kindness for her family, she was a good neighbor and a true Christian. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, two daughters, four grandchildren and three brothers. Perry Whiting of Dayton, Ohio, Calvin Whiting of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Clarence Whiting of Washington D.C. also many other relatives and friends.
