Death of
ANNABELLE  KERNS

Mrs. Annabelle Kerns passed away at the Covington Hospital yesterday afternoon at 4:40 o'clock, after years of weakness and delicate health, suffering also the last few weeks from the effects of a fall.  Mrs. Kerns was born in Covington, May 15th, 1861 and was the daughter of David and Ellen Thompson Shellaberger, both of whom were also born in Covington. Mrs. Shellaberger passed away just a year ago in November. Mrs. Kerns was a graduate of the Covington Schools in 1881, and was a member of the Christian Church enjoying the activities of the church whenever health permitted. One son, Ralph Kerns, of Spokane and a daughter, Lilly, one brother, Mr. Lynn Shellaberger, of Paris, Ill. And sister, Mrs. Lillian Layton, besides many friends and relatives remain to mourn her loss. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 from the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Routson, Rev. Omer S. Thomas officiating. Burial will be made in Highland cemetery. Routzahn Brothers, Funeral Directors.
