Mrs. Jacob Boehringer
Julia Ann, daughter of Daniel and Julie Chrowl was born on the old Chrowl homestead two miles west of Covington on Sept. 24, 1853. She was united in marriage to Jacob Boehringer Oct. 1st, 1872. To this union were born, all of whom survive, three daughters Mrs. Bessie Boram of Troy, Mrs. Mabel Miller of Covington and Mrs. Margie Davis of Ludlow Falls, three sons, J. A. Boehringer of Troy, George Boehringer of Saginaw, Mich., who was unable to be present because of ill health and Dr. Rollo Boehringer of Enon. Mother Boehringer has been a member of the Covington Christian Church for about thirty-six years having united with the church during the pastorate of Dr. W. D. Samuel. Her entire life was spent in Newberry township, her married life of 61 years was lived in Covington. She fell asleep on Saturday evening at 8:20 o'clock Feb.3, 1924 having reached the age of 80 years, 4 months and ten days. She leaves to mourn her passing her aged husband, three daughters, three sons, 24 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Anna Fraker of N. High St., Covington, one brother Wm. Chrowl of Ansonia besides other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. B. L.. Stroup of the Lutheran Church assisted by the Rev. Rogers pastor of the Christian Church.
