Word Received Of Death Of
Clifford J. Ely
Relatives at Pleasant Hill have received word of the death of former resident, Mr. Clifford J. Ely who passed away at his home at Greensburg, Indiana, Wednesday morning following an extended illness due to a heart ailment. He was 62 years of age. The deceased, the son of the late George Ely was born near Pleasant Hill and lived a number of years of his life in this community where he has a wide circle of friends who regret hearing of his death. Mr. Ely, a retired railroader was for more than 35 years a conductor on the Big Four Railroad, on the route between Cincinnati and Chicago. Surviving besides the widow Lucy Ely, are two children a daughter Arabelle who resides at home and a son George Christian of Cincinnati, a sister Mrs. Frank Lonkanaker of Pleasant Hill and a brother Harry of New Augusta. Funeral services were held this afternoon and burial was made at Greensburg.
