George J. Esky
George J. eldest son of Henry and Margaret Esky was born near Sidney, Ohio on March 16, 1870 and departed at the age of 62 years, 10 mo. and 12 da. In early childhood his parents moved to Gettysburg, Ohio where he received his education and united with the Methodist Church under the pastorage of Rev. Staunton. As a young man he was engaged in the occupation of carriage painting, later as a conductor on the railroad, also a conductor on a street car. From this he took up the occupation as a stationary engineer. He was of a very quiet disposition. About 30 years of his life was spent in Springfield Ohio. On Nov. 15, 1894 he was united in marriage to Flora Brown. To this union one son, Harry D., was born. He leaves to mourn their loss the wife, one son, two grandchildren, one brother, four sisters and many friends.
