Miss Ruth Shafer Called in Death
Miss Ruth Shafer who was taken to the Covington Hospital on Tuesday of last week, suffering from a very serious attack of double pneumonia passed away at 12:30 o'clock Sunday evening. Miss Ruth was of delicate constitution and from the first physicians feared for her recovery. Ruth was the only daughter of Mrs. Catherine Shafer, her father, Mr. A. C. Shafer passing away several years ago leaving Ruth as the only comfort and support of her mother. She worked for the last three years for the Superior Company in Piqua and had been for several years before a clerk in the Worley Store. Ruth was thirty-five years old at the time of her passing and was born about a mile south of Covington, living all her life in this community. The mother is left to mourn the loss, besides her aunt, Mrs. Louise Priest and uncles Fred, Thomas, Ellis and Simeon Fine, and a number of cousins. Funeral services will be held from the Church of the Brethren, Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, meeting at the home at 1:00 o'clock. Services in charge of Rev. C. F. McKee. Burial will be made at Sugar Grove Cemetery. George Miller, funeral director.
