Richard Hugh Trowbridge
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away "blessed be the name of the Lord." Our hearts are pained, our eyes are tearful, when we think of the passing of Richard Hugh Trowbridge. The little flower was planted in the Garden of the hearts affections of Mr. and Mrs. Trowbridge on January 2, 1926. He was transplanted to the fair and beautiful garden of God's love on Saturday, April 22, 1927. No longer is the baby voice heard, no longer do we hear the patter of childish feet. After staying with us 1 year, 3 months and 20 days, he joined that choir of God's appointing.
Oh, you have had a lovely child,
And you have last a son;
But soon you shall be reconciled,
When life's brief time is done;
For Heaven is made of those we love,
The beautiful and true,
And God has taken him above.
