MRS. MARY BROWN CALLED TO REST
Mrs. Mary Brown, wife of Mr. J. C. Brown, passed quietly away, Saturday evening, at 9:15, after a lingering illness of over a year. Mrs. Brown was born in Covington the only daughter of Mrs. Rose Eberenz, her father, Mr. Chas. Eberenz, passing away while several of the brothers were very young, leaving Mary, the eldest, the comfort and help of her widowed mother. She was united in marriage to Mr. J. C. Brown, twenty three years ago, living on the farm where she passed away, since that time. Mrs. Brown was a graduate of the Covington Public School with the class of 1891. She was also an active member of the Alice Carey Literary Society, which for many years was an organization of the Public School. The loss of the oldest Brother Gus was keenly felt by the family, but the widowed mother, who remains still to mourn the loss of her husband and three children, has had the help and sympathy of her daughter-in-law Mrs. Kate Eberenz with the two sons, Ferdinand and Guy and grandchildren. Mrs. Brown leaves no children, but the husband, mother and brothers as well as the many friends deeply mourn her loss. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 23rd, which would have been her fifty fourth birthday. Rev. Stroup will have charge of the services. Burial will be made in Highland Cemetery. Routzahn Brothers funeral directors.
