Phillip Kreigbaum
Phillip Kreigbaum son of George and Regina Kreigbaum, both of whom were born in Germany was born in Springfield, Ohio, July 3, 1852. He was of a family of twelve children, eight sons and four daughters. Four brothers and one sister remain to mourn his death. Phillip came to Covington while yet a young man and has lived here most of the time since. He was married to Ellen Brandenburg, Dec. 17, 1874 and to them were born six children; Mina who died at the early age of four years. Mrs. Delilah Renesmith of Tiffin, O., David of Covington, George of Altadana, Cal., Raymond of Detroit, Mich. Besides the children there are also twelve grandchildren. Mr. Kreigbaum was a member of the Christian Church of Covington, having united with that church in 1875. His faith was a great comfort to him in the last few years especially since he became afflicted about three years ago. His wife Ellen died May 12, 1915, after a married life of over forty years together. He was again married in July 3, 1921 uniting with Mrs. Sarah Snodgrass of Dayton, O. who survives her husband. He was also a member of the Red Men's Lodge of Covington, who rendered their beautiful burial services at his grave. He died June 22, 1927 at the age of 74 years, 11 mo. and 19 days. He is mourned by a large circle of friends besides the family.
