Mrs. Mary Driver
In the year of 1856 on the 21st day of March, there came to the home of Moses Dohner, deceased of near West Milton, Ohio a little girl to bring them joy and happiness whom they named Mary. She was content and happy to remain in the home until her tender affections were won by a young man whose name was Wm. H. Driver of near Covington, Ohio, when ??? September 13, 1877 they were united in marriage and lived together in this community for over 50 years when with only 2 days of sickness on Sept. 21, 1927, at the age of 71 years and 6 months she bid farewell to go to her home of bliss to await the coming of her companion and loved ones. To this union was born four sons and three daughters, Harry and Warren of Bradford, Ohio, Moses D, of Covington, O., Carris of Dayton, O., Sylvia Davis and Bertie Bitner, of Bradford, O. and Ella residing in the home. Also 15 grandchildren and ?? great grandchildren. The mother and grandma is the first to break the family circle, therefore she leaves to mourn their loss the entire family, also two brothers, Warren and Joseph Dohner of West Milton, O., two sisters Anna Miller of Dayton, O., Ella Whitehead of Englewood, O., one half brother, Moses L. Dohner of Ashland, O., one step-brother, L. L. Moist and two step-sisters Mollie Brenanian and Lida Moist, all of Pleasant Hill, Ohio. Those preceding in death, one sister Sarah, one brother Elias, one half-brother Albert, one step-sister Sallie Foutz. Mother Driver was sadly bereft of a mother at the age of 13 years, hereby faced many hours of anxious longing for consolation. Soon after their marriage she with her husband gave their hearts to the Lord and was happily converted and united in Christian fellowship with the Brethren in Christ Church and remained a consistent and devoted member until death. Funeral services conducted by Eld C. R. Heisey, assisted by Rev. McKee of the Church of the Brethren. Interment in the Covington Cemetery.
