Mrs. Norris Dies At Potsdam Friday
After four years of failing health Mrs. Austin Norris died at her home in Potsdam at 3 a.m. on January 1, 1932.
She was the daughter of Christ and Hannah Dohner and one of a family of eleven girls. She was born on September 21, 1858 and had reached the age of 73 years, 3 months and 10 days.
She was united in marriage with Mr. Norris on March 21, 1878 and they had traveled life's pathway together for about 54 years. Their union was blessed with two sons, Lorin C. of Potsdam and Frank D. of near Trotwood, two daughters, Mrs. Jack Johnson of Potsdam and Mrs. Orlando Warner, Union, O. There are also eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren in the immediate family circle. Four sisters Mrs. Michael Ditmer, Mrs. Willard Fasick, Mrs. Sam Christian and Mrs. Dave Hoke, also survive.
She was converted and united with the Church of the Brethren 36 years ago and has since led an exemplary Christian life and was loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Newton Binkley and Rev. S. A. Blessing in the Church of the Brethren Sunday afternoon were attended by an extremely large concourse of relatives, friends and acquaintances. Burial in Potsdam cemetery.
