Former Pleasant Hill Resident Dies
Willis Pleasant Dies At Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Last Night
Pleasant Hill folks will be grieving to hear of the death of a former resident, Willis Pleasant, aged 36 years, who passed away last night at 11:40 o'clock at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, after an illness of several weeks.
While residing in Pleasant Hill he united with the Christian Church and on removing to Dayton he with his wife transferred their membership to the Grace M. E. Church on Salem Ave. Mr. Pleasant while residing in Pleasant Hill was employed with the Beery Company, holding a responsible position. Finding that he could advance more, moved to Dayton a short time ago and gained employment with the Dayton Savings and Trust Company, where he was employed at the time of his death. When the great call came for help in the world war, Mr. Pleasant answered and did his bit across the seas. He was 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner and was also member of the A. B. C. Club in Dayton. Although living there but a few years, he numbered his friends by the hundred and he will be sorely missed by Dayton folks as well as Pleasant Hill. He leaves his wife and little four month old daughter, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Pleasant of Pleasant Hill and many relatives and friends. His body was removed to Whimer Brothers funeral parlors, Dayton.
