Benjamin Thuma Passes Away
Mr. Benjamin Thuma, age 84 years passed away last evening at 10:00 o'clock from a stroke of Apoplexy which occurred yesterday morning. Mr. Thuma for the past few years has been a citizen of Pleasant Hill but lived the greater part of his life in West Mi lton and vicinity. His entire life he has been devoted to his church and took active part therein. He was also devoted to farming and cabinet making which was his occupation until he retired some few years ago. He leaves to morn his departure a son, Frank who resides near Ludlow Falls and a daughter, Mrs. George Waybright of Inglewood besides a number of grandchildren a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday P. M. meeting at the home at 1:00 regular services will be held at the Highland Church near West Milton at 2:00. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Benjamin L. Thuma
Benjamin L. Thuma was born near Manheim, Lancaster County, Pa.. May 9, 1845 and departed this life at his home at Pleasant Hill, Ohio, Mar. 7, 1929, aged 83 years, 9 months and 28 days. He was the youngest of a family of twelve all of who have preceded him in death. On November 10, 1867 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Deems near Cerro Cordo, Macon County, Illinois, who preceded him to the spirit world over thirty-two years ago. To this union were born four children: Olivia, who died at the age of twelve years; Mrs. George Waybright of Englewood, Ohio; Mrs. Henry Bechtel of Canton, Ohio, who died nine years ago; and Frank of near Ludlow Falls, Ohio. There remains to mourn their loss one daughter, one son, eleven grandchildren, also a niece, Anna Ginder, who has been in the home for almost fourteen years and a host of relatives and friends. In 1896 he united with the Brethren in Christ Church and lived a consistent and exemplary Christian life till death called him home. For the last number of years he has been, as he expressed it, homesick to leave this earthly life to go and be with Jesus and the loved one gone on before. Funeral services were held at the Highland Church near West Milton, Ohio on March 10th by Bishop M. L. Dohner assisted by Bishop O. B. Ullery. Subject, "The Bliss of The Dead in Christ." Reading Rev, 7:9 to 17. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
