Aged Resident Dies This Morning
Mrs. Kathryn Kinney, Aged Lady, Dies After Illness of Few Weeks -- Funeral Saturday
Mrs. Kathryn Kinney, well known Covington resident passed to her long home this morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Chambers at 6:00 o'clock after being in ill health the last few weeks.
She was a very lovable character and had won a host of friends by her pleasing manner.
Her girlhood was spent in Yellow Springs, moving to Covington after marriage where she spent the remainder of her life.
She joined the German Reform Church in early youth at Yellow Springs but brought her letter to the Cumberland Church here in Covington, now known as the Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. R. M. Deeter, Mrs. F. G. Langston and Mrs. Joseph Chambers all of Covington, two sons, Ora of Lynn, Ind. and M. R. of Covington. Her husband, Robert Lynn Kinney preceded her in death about 43 years ago.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Chambers, Saturday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock with Rev. Wm. Christian officiating.
Burial in Highland Cemetery.

Sarah Catherine Kinney
Sarah Catherine Koon was born near Yellow Springs, Green County, Jan. 13, 1840. She passed to her reward in the early morning of April 11, 1929.
She was married to Robert Lynn Kinney, also of Green County, and to this union there was born six children, one daughter dying in infancy.
Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. Effie Deeter, Mrs. Frances Langston, and Mrs. Anna Chambers, all of Covington, two sons Ora L., of Lynn, Ind., and Melville R. of Covington.
The family moved here in 1880 and lived here continuously since. The husband's death May 20, 1886, was a staggering blow to her and her five little ones, but with unfaltering faith she struggled through the long years, binding her children to her wit.
In her girlhood she was a member of the German Reform Church but upon moving here she affiliated with the Cumberland Presbyterian now the Presbyterian Church.
