He was baptized in infancy and in early manhood became a confirmed member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, having been catechized and confirmed under the pastorate of the Rev. Winterhoff. Mr. Neth was a liberal supporter of the church in a financial way.
He was always of a friendly disposition, making friends with all those with whom he came in contact, this was especially true of little children. He took great pleasure in his little grandchildren and was ever concerned about them rather than himself.
Surviving him are his aged mother Barbara Neth, two brothers, J. B. and John Neth, his wife Maud Neth, five children; Mrs. A. C. Fletcher, Gladys Frances, Irene, and Bernis; his son-in-law, Alvin Fletcher and three little grandchildren Jean, Juanita and Dorothy Maud Fletcher.
