Miami Union
22 April 1897
The funeral of Miss Louise W. Dittmer, Friday afternoon, was attended by a large number of friends, filling the house to the doors.
The simple and impressive services were conducted by Rev. Charles Herron, who rendered a beautiful tribute of praise to the noble woman whose whole life mirrored the beautiful doctrine of Christian self-sacrifice, and furnishes an example worthy of all human emulation.
The choir of five voices, Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Drury, Messrs. Vance, Tenney and Gunn, rendered several beautiful and appropriate hymns.
