ENGINEER AT MUNICIPAL LIGHT PLANT DIES
Following an illness of six months Harry Robert Schmidlapp, 62, of 724 Clark avenue, engineer at the Piqua municipal light plant, died at Piqua Memorial hospital at 8:45 o'clock this morning.
He was born in Washington township June 3, 1881, the son of Caleb and Mary Catherine Roberts Schmidlapp and had lived in Piqua and vicinity all his life. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian church, the Loyal Order of Moose and the Fireman's Union. He was united in marriage June 5, 1939 to Anna Speelman.
He leaves besides his wife, Anna; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Jacob of Dayton, a grandson, Robert Coppock of Dayton; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Sterling Hamilton and Miss Evelyn Speelman, both of Dayton; a brother, Russell of Piqua and a sister, Mrs. William Zimmerman of Piqua. Two brothers, Charles and John preceded him in death.
Funeral rites will be conducted at 3 pm Monday at the J. C. Cron and Sons chapel, the Rev. Ernest S. Brown officiating with burial to be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at Crons Sunday afternoon and evening and Monday.

Final rites for Harry Robert Schmidlapp, 62, of 724 Clark avenue, Piqua, who died Thursday morning at Piqua Memorial hospital, were held Monday at 3 pm at the J. C. Cron and Sons Funeral home, with burial in Forest Hill cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Piqua, he was a member of the United Presbyterian church, the Loyal Order of Moose and the Fireman's Union. He is survived by his wife, Anna; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Jacob; a grandson, Robert Coppock; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Sterling Hamilton and Miss Evelyn Spelman, all of Dayton; a brother, Russel, and a sister, Mrs. William Zimmerman of Piqua.
