FORMER RESIDENT OF MONROE TOWNSHIP DIES
MRS LUCY B. SMITH, RELATIVE OF TROJAN
PASSES AWAY AT HOME IN VANDALIA
Mrs. Lucy B. Smith, 68, wife of Peter Smith, died Thursday night in her home on the Dixie highway, opposite the Johnson flying field at Vandalia, following a general decline in health, although her condition was such that she was not confined to her bed but a short time. She was a sister-in-law of Estey S. Smith of East Franklin, who received the death message.
Surviving Mrs. Smith are her husband, who is seriously ill at this time; one son, Howard Smith of Vandalia, three grandchildren and one brother, Edward Young, of Dayton. Mrs. Minnie Frantz of this city and Mrs. Nora Fritz of Concord township are nieces of the decedent.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith are well known by a number of persons in this community. They formerly resided in Monroe township, six miles south of Troy on the Peters pike.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed but the rites will probably be held on Sunday.
