In Memoriam
John W. Taylor
Wherein, it has pleased the Supreme Chief of the Universe, in his all-wise providence, to remove from our membership, our beloved and respected brother, John W. Taylor, temporarily at Hagerman, N.M., and:
Whereas, our brother was, by failing health, compelled to sojourn for a time, in a distant clime and among strangers, yet we feel satisfied that, by his pleasant and cheerful disposition, he had made friends to minister to him in his conflict with his last enemy, at the close of which , he has sheathed his sword and laid by his helmet to wear, instead, the crown of victor, therefore be it;
Resolved, That the brethren of Concord Castle No. 43, K.O.E., tender the relatives and friends of our departed brother, our sympathy and condolence and commend them to God for strength to endure this their sore trial, and be it further;
Resolved, that our charter be draped for a period of 30 days; a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family of our deceased brother, entered on our minutes and also published in the local newspapers.
